Aledo and Walsh property taxes
A Walsh home paid about 2.69% of its taxable value in property tax for the 2025 tax year. That’s roughly $1,120 a month on a $500,000 value before exemptions. For 2026 the school rate went down, the Fort Worth rate went up, and the Walsh PID rose a cent, so the total is likely a little higher. Rates are per $100 of taxable value. The exact total depends on the address, so always check the specific property.

Planning areas 1, 2 and 3 of Walsh are assessed at about $0.18 for the PID instead of $0.36, so the older sections cost less each year. Ask which planning area a lot is in.
Walsh HOA dues are separate from taxes: $180–$257 a month for single-family homes and $289–$372 for townhomes, per the developer.
City of Aledo
Inside the City of Aledo, the city rate is $0.355353 (adopted for FY 25-26) and $0.352415 (proposed for FY 26-27), alongside Aledo ISD and Parker County. Hospital, college, road, and any MUD or PID depend on the exact property. Look up the address on the Parker County Appraisal District site before you make an offer.
Payment example: $500,000 Walsh home (Parker County, PID #16)
| 2025 rates | 2026 rates so far | |
|---|---|---|
| Yearly property tax | $13,447 | $13,592 |
| Monthly | $1,121 | $1,133 |
| Plus HOA (single-family) | $180–$257/mo | $180–$257/mo |
This math uses the full value with no exemptions. Once you live in the home, file for a homestead exemption with the appraisal district. It lowers the school portion and caps how fast your taxable value can rise. Your lender will escrow the real number, so ask them for it early.

An estimate, not a quote. It leaves out the homestead exemption (lowers your tax once you live there) and mortgage insurance (usually added under 20% down). Tax rates are from the table above. Send Tristan the homes you’re considering and she’ll run the real numbers, including the builder’s current incentives.
