What we aim for
We build and test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That is our technical target. Pages are checked with automated tools and by keyboard, and the forms work without a mouse. Text can be enlarged to 200% on a phone without scrolling sideways, and motion is turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
What still needs work
- We haven’t yet finished a full test with screen readers (VoiceOver and NVDA). Until we have, some announcements may be clumsy.
- The main menu opens from a button instead of showing every link on small screens.
- Any video we add will have captions, a transcript and described visuals before it goes on the site.
